Oh, Hail!

Just a quick update tonight.  As expected, Friday afternoon was wet and stormy in Northeastern Colorado.  A slow moving line of thunderstorms produced copious amounts of rain and hail at our home located about 4 miles east of Nederland. We ended up with a respectable 0.83 inches of rain and pea-sized hail that accumulated to almost 1 inch in depth. Even though it is almost July, it made for an almost winter-wonderland like experience. That is the last time I’ll talk about winter until September. I promise.

We will have a break from rain and hail on Saturday, but it looks like we will have at least a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms for much of the upcoming week.Also, for late June and early July, temperatures will be pleasant.  Here is the Weather Underground forecast:
