After another day of mild temperatures on Monday, a storm system will quickly track across Colorado Monday night and Tuesday bringing light snow and colder temperatures to Nederland and the surrounding Foothills towns. For a number of factors, including its speed and track, this storm will not be a big snow maker for Nederland. Still, light accumulations, on the order of an inch or two are possible by Tuesday morning, just enough to make the Peak to Peak highway and canyon roads slick.
Behind this storm, temperatures will cool to more normal levels for mid-late November. Another storm system will track across the area Wednesday night and Thursday. While this system will not produce much in the way of precipitation, it will usher in much cooler temperatures for the holiday and the end of the week. At the moment, the weekend appears to be dry but cool with highs in the 30s and lows in teens and 20s. It will feel more like winter, something we have not had much of this fall.
Welcome to November!
