A quiet and warm weather pattern is setting up for Nederland, Colorado, and the nearby Front Range Foothills. Temperatures will be gradually warming through the remainder of the week as a ridge of high pressure builds into the Rockies from the southwest in the wake of a closed upper level low slowly tracking eastward across the southern United States. A spectacular weekend is in store for the area with daytime temperatures reaching into the low 50s and overnight lows generally in the low to mid 30s. It will probably feel too warm for the annual Nederland Frozen Dead Guy Days festival with no snow on the ground for frozen turkey bowling or the coffin race. It will be short-sleeves weather folks!
The weather pattern changes early next week with colder temperatures and snow possible by Tuesday.
