An area of low pressure in the middle and upper levels of the atmosphere over northern Utah has controlled Nederland’s weather over the past few days, resulting in cool temperatures and light to moderate precipitation. This disturbance is weakening and forecast to quickly move to the Northern Plains states by Friday morning.
As it exits our region, temperatures will moderate and the chances of precipitation will decrease. There will still be some residual moisture left over Northeastern Colorado on Friday and even on Saturday which could result in some isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but overall sunshine will be more abundant. Another spectacular weekend is in store for Ned and the neighboring Foothills towns. Temperatures will be slightly above normal by Sunday. The aspen are starting to turn, especially along the Peak to Peak Highway. In another week to 10 days they should be at peak color!
